Junior Achievement (JA) is an organization that is close to the three of us here at OmniWorx Inc. Principal, Graphic Design, Jack Henry credits JA’s high school Company Program as the main reason he got interested in the area of Graphic Design. Thats why we decided to sponsor a student to attend JA’s first JrPreneur Day.
Our sponsorship allows one Grade 6 student to attend the JrPreneur Day event from the GTA. At the event, students will hear from youth speakers, participate in interactive activities to help them think creatively and build confidence and have direct engagement with facilitators that reinforce entrepreneurial thinking. This gives the student insight and understanding about entrepreneurship, understanding of the importance of identifying solutions in ideation, the know how to identify target markets and develop a competitive advantage, understanding of how to formalize an idea using a business model canvas and recognize the importance of creating a pitch to promote a business idea.
We look forward to sharing more after tomorrows event.
Junior Achievements first JrPrenur Day was a huge success with close to 500 students attending.
“The students arrived eager and excited to learn, and, after the interactive morning workshop and inspiring afternoon group speaker session, they all left feeling more confident in their ability to become entrepreneurs and more determined than ever to pursue their goals & dreams”
