Crafting a Brand That Connects
Our Community & Visitors

OmniWorx Design partnered with the Peterborough & Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce to bring to life Explore PKChamber, a new initiative to spotlight towns across Peterborough County—like Lakefield, Havelock, and Apsley—beyond the city limits.

Our goal: to build a strong, unified program that helps local businesses thrive, attracts visitors, and showcases what makes each town unique.

What We Did

Brand Identity

We created a parent brand called Explore PKChamber, bringing coherence and energy to the program. We developed a full visual identity using seven colors—one for each township or municipality—to highlight their character. For instance, Lakefield’s metallic blue reflects its riverside setting and manufacturing heritage; Apsley’s dark pink nods to local pink granite; Havelock’s rustic brown draws from its railway past.

Town Identity

Building off the parent brand, we designed sub-logos for Lakefield, Havelock, and Apsley. Each logo incorporates the parent brand’s intention: the “X” pin symbol with the town name replacing “PKChamber,” and town-specific colors to foster both unity and individual identity.

Town Websites

We launched pilot websites for Lakefield, Apsley, and Havelock with a focus on usability and visitor experience. These sites serve dual audiences—locals and travelers—making it easy to explore local businesses, see restaurants, find events, and plan visits. Features include:

  • Mobile-friendly and accessible design for people on the go

  • Local business directories & featured businesses

  • Community event calendars

  • Newsletter signup & future expansion tools
