OmniWorx Design: 2023 Year in Review

2023 has been an amazingly successful year for OmniWorx Design, we would like to thank all of our clients for making this such a great year for our family. Check out some of the highlights from this year below.

New Clients

We met so many amazing people this year and many have since become amazing clients! We worked with our first Peterborough based client, Brenda from the Avant-Garden Shop. We also had the opportunity to work with Twohey Home, The Peterborough Business Hub, PlanA Peterborough and many more! It was great to add so many people to the OmniWox client family.

Starter Company Plus Grant Winner

In April, we applied to be part of the Starter Company Plus program run by Peterborough & Kawarthas Economic Development. We were one of 12 participants chosen to participate in the program out of over 50 applicants, the most received in the programs history in Peterborough! After 5 weeks of workshops and the creation of a comprehensive business plan, our Head of Design pitched OmniWorx Design to a panel of judges. We were excited to be one of the 7 participants to win a $5,000 micro-grant, some of which has already been invested back into the community through our participation in events such as the Lakefield Sidewalk Sale in August and the Local Show in September. We look forward to continuing to invest as much of our grant back into the local community as possible as we look for service providers & vendors, promotional opportunities and educational opportunities! Business Excellence Awards Finalist

This year we were nominated for the Micro-Business Award in the Peterborough & Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards and we were one of the finalists for the Micro Business category. Unfortunately we were not selected as a recipient this year. The award went to the Peterborough Current who was also very deserving of recognition! Read more in our news release here.

Community Involvement

We were excited to take part in a number of events this year from the Lakefield Sidewalk Sale to the Local Show to the Community Futures AGM. We also supported Lakefield Animal Welfare Society through their annual golf tournament and were proud to be a mentor for Junior Achievement of North Eastern Ontario’s World of Choices event! In our wider region we also attended the DesignThinkers conference in Toronto and our Heads of Design and Business Development were volunteer marshals for the 119th Annual Santa Claus Parade! We also hosted our first workshop with the Peterborough Business Hub.

On top of these amazing events, our team regularly attended events hosted by the Peterborough & Kawarthas Chamber including Chamber AM’s, Business Exchanges and Coffee in the Country’s which we look forward to every year!
