OmniWorx Design Awarded $5,000 Micro-Grant Through the Starter Company Plus Program!

Peterborough, Ontario (June 6th 2023). OmniWorx Design is honoured to be one of seven recipients of a $5,000 micro-grant from the Government of Ontario’s Starter Company Plus program run by Peterborough & Kawarthas Economic Development to support the growth of their business in the coming years.

OmniWorx Design’s Head of Design, Jack Henry, Provisional RGD, took part in the five week program with twelve locally owned small businesses lead by Peterborough & Kawarthas Economic Development where they learned more about running a business and created a business plan and made a final pitch to a panel of judges. Seven of the twelve participating businesses received a $5,000 micro-grant. These businesses included OmniWorx Design, Kate L. Toms Fit, Working Human Inc., Take Cover Books, Brisa Social, EB Aquatics & Sage Beauty. This grant will assist in OmniWorx Design’s ongoing commitment to continuous growth, innovation, and industry leadership in Peterborough, the Kawarthas and Northumberland.

The Starter Company Plus Program is a highly competitive initiative, with over fifty businesses applying to the spring program. The program is designed to support promising start-ups and budding entrepreneurs in the City and County of Peterborough. It aims to provide targeted financial resources, mentorship, and business training to selected companies that demonstrate exceptional potential for growth and innovation.

"This grant will enable us to continue to grow our business, reach new clients and expand our service offerings. We are excited to work with businesses and organizations in the tourism sector to help them unleash their full potential. The grant will be utilized to further invest in our IT tools, gain more valuable industry knowledge from Peterborough’s world renowned educational institutions, Fleming College and Trent University and to support local organizations through sponsorships.”

As a result of winning this grant, OmniWorx Design projects an increase in its market presence and client base. This achievement reinforces OmniWorx's potential as a local industry leader in brand, signage and website design for small businesses in Peterborough’s tourism sector and beyond!
