Connecting to B2B Customers this Holiday.
While the holiday season is a time where many B2B businesses slow down their marketing efforts. B2B businesses shouldn’t wind down for the holidays, they should wind up! Use the holiday season to your advantage, there will be fewer marketing messages directed at business owners and decision makers so your message or promotions can stand out! Here are 4 tips to engage with your B2B market this holiday season.
Say Thank You
The biggest way you can connect with your existing customers over the holiday season is by thanking them for their business. This is as easy as producing and sending out holiday cards, so get out your client, and maybe even supplier, list for the last year and start writing! We recommend having a general message in the cards but then personalizing the cards to make them more genuine. If you have a smaller team, you can also have each person sign the cards so that the client can really feel like they are connected to your team!
Side note: If you need holiday cards produced we can help with custom cards designed with your branding and identity. Contact us today!
Charitable Donations
Whether it is a small donation in your customers name to a local charity, a donation campaign, a food/coat/toy drive or even a commitment to donate a percentage of sales, charitable activities are a great way to drive engagement with new and existing customers. It also benefits your local community so it’s a win-win-win!
Keep Communication Open
It can be tempting to just focus on your current work and put off meetings and networking opportunities to the new year but connecting with clients personally can make a big difference around the holidays. Make a call or visit the clients and see if there is anything that your firm can help with or that they would like you to accomplish. Set up any new appointments for January now so that you are not left with a void of work in the new year. Lastly, make sure you communicate your availability over the holidays so that clients are not calling you expecting you to respond but getting your out of office response instead.
Take Away Stress
The holidays are a busy time for everyone, let alone small business owners who already wear many hats. Take some time to make connections with new and existing clients and learn the stressors and pain points for your clients around the holidays. Maybe there is even a way for your firm to help with one or two of these stressors and take something off of the clients plate?
